Benefits of a plant-based diet

A plant based diet has been shown in numerous studies to have big health benefits

In general, vegetarians live 6-9 years longer than non-vegetarians, and vegans longer again.

Many of today’s most common killer diseases are linked to diet.  In particular, heart disease, diabetes, certain cancers and diseases resulting from obesity.  The vegetarian diet can help with all these conditions.

Additionally, the vast array of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients in plant-based foods offer significant health protection.  There are still more plant compounds being discovered that are found to offer health benefits.
